President of Green & White Nigeria for Peace, Amb. Juliet Geoffrey Porbeni, has condemned the shootings at the unarmed EndSARS protesters by the Nigerian Army on Tuesday night, October 20th, 2020 at Lekki Tollgate, Lagos.

Sadly, the attack on the protesting youths against police brutality and EndSARS saw scores of the protesters with various degree of injuries and many reportedly dead.

Reacting to the gruesome attack by the soldiers, Amb. Juliet, popularly known as JulietGreenandWhite, said; “My early advice to the government was that the government should listen to the cry of the Nigerian youths as they are protesting for their rights, asking for a better Nigeria which is not too much to ask.”

“I sent message to the government to act fast to avoid further lost of lives and properties. I pleaded to the government to quickly intervene before things get out of hand. Believe it or not, things have gone out of hands. Using the military to fight innocent protesters is not the way. Killing the youths is not even the solution. The primary purpose of any government is to protect the life of its citizen. Right now there are many questions to ask.”

“October 20th, 2020 is a dark day in our history, I wept, my heart goes out to those that were affected by the unfortunate incident. I am against the use of military personnel in civil conflict resolution and will lend my voice for an investigation to get to the bottom of this.”

“The government should find solution to the genuine request by the youths for better governance.”

“We are in democracy not a military regime, listen to the voice of the people and let Justice be serve for peace to reign.”

“I pray that it won’t be more than what we are seeing now. May God take absolute control in this situation. God bless Nigeria.”
