APC Presidential Primary: Tinubu Floors Osinbajo, Amaechi As Pastor Bakare Scores Zero

There seemed to be jubilation already in the camp of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as his supporters are now dancing and chanting victory songs after Jagaban as Tinubu is fondly called polled the highest vote in the APC primary in Abuja.

Tinubu, we gathered got over 50 per cent of the total votes cast to outshine his closest contenders, in the person of Rotimi Amaechi and Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, who polled 316 and 235 votes respectively.

Interestingly, popular pastor and General Overseer of Citadel Global Church, Pastor Tunde Bakare, we gathered got the least vote by polling zero (0) vote alongside former Minister of State for Education, Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba.

Meanwhile, nine aspirants had earlier withdrawn from the race which include:

  • Former Speaker Dimeji Bankole
  • Sen. Ajayi Boroffice

  • Governor Kayode Fayemi

Be that as it may, the winner and APC presidential candidate would be declared later today.
