Atiku In Trouble As Wike’s Men Pull Out Of His Campaign Council

These, undoubtedly are not the best of times for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar as the report reaching us at the moment has it that Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike’s group has pulled out of his Campaign Council.

This is following the protracted crisis rocking the party, therefore reducing the party’s chances of producing the next president of Nigeria in 2023.

Sources told us that the pulling out of the campaign council of the party’s presidential candidate by Wike’s men happened shortly after a meeting on Wednesday, September 21st, 2022 in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

Besides, sources squealed to us that members of the Wike’s team have equally vowed not to play any role in Atiku’s campaign ahead of the 2023 general elections.

According to sources, the group has declared that they will play no part in the coming presidential election until the PDP National Chairman, Senator Iyorchia Ayu resigns his position.

However, in a statement read by the party’s chieftain, Chief Bode George in the meeting at Wike’s home, it was resolved that unless Ayu resigns as the party’s chairman for an Acting southern chairman, the team would never participate in any campaign.

Sources told us that faces at the meeting included; Bode George, Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, ex-Governors Olusegun Mimiko of Ondo, Donald Duke of Cross River, Jonah Jang of Plateau, Ayo Fayose of Ekiti States, Prof Jerry Gana, among others.
