Popular Nollywood actress, Bimbo Akintola, has made headlines following a controversial statement regarding infidelity among Nigerian men.
Bimbo, in an interview recently, expressed her views on fidelity, claiming that cheating is ingrained in the culture and that the majority of Nigerian men are unfaithful.
Hear her; “This cultural influence is deeply ingrained, making it challenging for women to expect fidelity in relationships.”
“I don’t know where this idea of fidelity in Africa came from. Your father cheats, your grandfather cheated, my father has two wives.”
“I can’t tell you whether to stay or leave but you leave this one and move to the next one, you still have the same issue. They all cheat, 90 percent of them cheat, it’s engraved in them.”
“I know you might want to change them but I hear characters are fully formed when you’re seven years old. Some of them started by following their daddy to girlfriends’ house.”
“I’m not excusing it don’t get me wrong, I am just being realistic when it comes to these kinds of situation.”
