It was a moment of thanksgiving, reflection and celebration as His Lordship, Bishop Desmond Osazuwa Amasihohu, marked his 12th Bishopric Ordination and Consecration Anniversary, twelve years after his elevation into the sacred office of a Bishop.

The Edo-born cleric, who is widely regarded as the youngest Bishop of his generation, took to his official platforms today to announce the milestone with songs of praise to God for His faithfulness and sustaining grace over his ministry.
In an emotional anniversary message, the Bishop declared, “Glory to God! Today marks my 12th Bishopric Ordination and Consecration Anniversary. 12 years ago, the Lord elevated me into the sacred office of a Bishop. Hallelujah! To God be all the praise.”
He described his journey in the episcopacy as a testimony of divine mercy and unmerited favour, noting that his elevation at a young age was not by might or personal qualification, but by the grace of God and the call to serve as a shepherd to the flock.
Quoting from the scriptures, Bishop Amasihohu anchored his celebration on 1 Peter 2:25 which reads, “For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.” He paid glowing tribute to Jesus Christ, whom he described as the Chief Shepherd and Bishop of his soul, for keeping him and his ministry through twelve eventful years.
Over the past 12 years, Bishop Desmond Osazuwa Amasihohu has grown from a youthful preacher into a respected voice in the Body of Christ in Edo State and beyond, known for his vibrant evangelism, community impact, youth mentorship, and bold stance on governance and moral issues. His ministry has impacted lives across denominations, with outreaches, crusades, and humanitarian interventions that have touched many homes.
Followers, friends, family members, fellow clergymen and members of his congregation have continued to pour in congratulatory messages, celebrating his consistency, humility and dedication to the work of God.
Many described the 12-year milestone as a proof that God still raises young men for His work, and that age is no barrier to divine assignment when there is genuine calling and commitment.
The Bishop, who is also known for his support for good governance and his role in civic enlightenment, used the occasion to rededicate himself to the service of God and humanity, promising to continue preaching the gospel of truth, holiness and love.
