Bobrisky Reacts As Court Remands Mompha In Prison Over N6 Billion Mess

These, to many people are the best of times for famous cross-dress, Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky as a Lagos Special Offence Court sitting in Ikeja has remanded Ismaila Mustapha a.k.a Mompha in the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) custody.

Recall that Bobrisky and Mompha fell out with each other after their altercation on social media.

However, reacting to Mompha’s re-arrest and detention by the EFCC, Bobrisky took to his Instagram page and wrote; “I’m that friend that stand till death cos my friendship with you is d purest !!!!! I know wherever you are right now you are fine.”

“Have always know you as a strong man not d weak. Many people try everything to break us cos they don’t understand d friendship, well it’s their business and their opinion.”

“Just imagine reading some comments on blogs saying bobrisky will be somewhere laughing and dancing after d news of ur re arrest broke out.”

“You all know don’t know me lol. I value friendship more than my life. I’m here to tell you all that mompha is fine. He will address you all soon. Have a great day.”

For those who don’t know, Justice Mojisola Dada of the Lagos Special Offence Court on Wednesday, January 12th, 2022 ordered that Mompha be remanded after he was arraigned on an eight count charges which borders on aiding internet fraud and being in possession of fraudulent documents.

Mompha and his company, Global Investment Limited, were accused of conspiracy to launder funds obtained through unlawful activity, retention of such funds, transfer of funds for a suspect Jimoh Olayinka Dolapo a.k.a Nappy Boy – owner of NapTown records – and unlawful transfer of funds for a record label, among others.

The sums named in the charge are N5,998,884.653.18, N32million, N120million and N15,960,000, totalling over N6 billion. The EFCC also alleged that Mompha concealed his interest in expensive wristwatches and other movable assets valued at over N70 million.

Besides, Mompha is also standing trial at the Federal High Court in Lagos alongside Ismalob Global Investment Limited on an amended 22-count charge bordering on cyberfraud and money laundering to the tune of N32.9billion brought against him by the EFCC. He pleaded not guilty to each of the counts.
