City of Bradford, in the United Kingdom,a destination rich in culture, little wonder the city earned the title “City of culture 2025” with its fascinating history from Roman remain to Victorian grandeur.
The city played host to people from all walks of life at the weekend with the opening of the Bradford African Festival of Arts.
The Festival Arts is a vibrant celebration of African culture, creativity, and heritage in the heart of Bradford. Through music, dance, art, fashion, food, and storytelling,bringing communities together to experience and celebrate the richness and beauty of African traditions both past and present.
The festival was founded in 2024 with a vision to create a platform where African culture can be shared, appreciated, and celebrated by people from all backgrounds. The first edition was a two-day festival, attracting over 1,500 in-person attendees and more than 3,000 online viewers across streaming platforms.
The success recorded at its debut expanded the festival in 2025 to a four-day celebration, welcoming over 3,000 attendees in person from across the United Kingdom and internationally, including visitors from London, the United States, Tanzania, and beyond.
Bradford African Festival Arts continues to grow through strong partnerships and community collaboration.
