If Africa Magic’s Heartbeat has taught us anything, it is that these singles will be tested, and episode six came with absolutely zero mercy.

The episode picked up right where Alvin and Toria left off, done, dusted, no lingering looks, nothing. That chapter is officially closed. Meanwhile, Henri stepped into the house with a fresh haircut, and, naturally, the entire house had things to say about it. New hair, new era? We are watching.
But the real drama? It was brewing. Here is everything that went down on the latest episode of Heartbeat, now available on DStv Stream.
Shekinah Finally Sees Igwe For Who He Is
Look, we have been watching Igwe run his game from the very beginning, but Shekinah? She has been in her feelings. After her emotional rollercoaster with Alvin, she finally turned her attention to Igwe and clocked that something about his energy feels a little too calculated. That confidence she once found attractive? It is giving strategy now.
And Igwe, unbothered as ever, has already moved on to his next target, Queen Latifa. Whether Shekinah will finally act accordingly remains to be seen, but at least the rose-tinted glasses are off.
Ken and His ‘Exploring’ Arc Are Not Okay
Where do we even start with Ken? There’s Queen Latifa, whom he happens to like enough to make breakfast in bed for. There is chemistry, there is tension, there is everything, and yet Ken refuses to lock it in. Why? Because he is exploring.
His exploration took him straight to Ceeoni, the newest single in the house, for a private dinner date. When Ceeoni asked him directly why he was entertaining her while still clearly entangled with Latifa, Ken looked her in the eye and said he was exploring. Sir, you are not on a gap year. And if that was not enough, this same exploration apparently extended to Hilda, Queen Latifa’s supposed homegirl. The audacity is truly unmatched, but it’s exactly what we signed up for.
Jane Is Locked In and Unbothered
Jane has decided that Kena is her person, and Chidera being in the picture is simply not her problem. The commitment is genuinely impressive, even when it probably should not be. Kena, however, is not budging. This storyline is the definition of an unstoppable force meeting an immovable object, and we are here for it.
Hilda Said Enough and Dragged Ken Publicly
Here is where things got absolutely unhinged. At the night party, Hilda, a woman who clearly has no time for back and forth, called Ken out in front of everyone. She confronted him, brought up the letter he sent her during the wall of messages, and did not even lower her voice about it.
Then came the real exposure: Ken had told Queen Latifa that production arranged his dinner date with Ceeoni. Lies. Ken organised that dinner himself, and the whole house found out in real time. The man lied to cover his tracks, and his tracks were fully uncovered in public. Rough night.
But in true Heartbeat fashion, one person’s chaos is another person’s opportunity, because right in the middle of all this madness, Ceeoni and Alvin appear to be developing something genuinely sweet. The show giveth, and the show taketh away.
The lesson from episode six? Secrets on Heartbeat have a very short shelf life. These walls talk, and so does everyone in them.
