Veteran Nollywood actress, Bukky Wright has cautioned Nigerians against the activities of fraudsters impersonating her online.
This follows the circulation of fake social media accounts created in her name, falsely advertising job vacancies in the United Kingdom.
Currently based in the UK, Bukky Wright took to her Instagram page to raise the alarm and warn the public to beware of scammers using her name and image to deceive unsuspecting individuals.
She wrote; “Dear friends and supporters, please be cautious of fake accounts pretending to be me. I never requested for money. Then, I will never request for personal information or private chat on any other account. This is my main page!“
“If you receive any suspicious messages or offers, kindly report and block those accounts immediately.”
“NB: A post was made on my account offering a job vacancy in the UK and we realized it was fraudulent. Please disregard. Your safety and trust mean so much to me.”
