Edo State governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki who recently announced his resignation from the All Progressives Congress (APC) has now joined the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Obaseki announced his defection on Friday, June 19th, 2020 during a meeting with the Edo State PDP stakeholders at the state Secretariat, Benin City.
However, the video showing where Obaseki made the declaration was also posted by PDP on the party official Twitter handle.
The party also wrote; “The governor of Edo State, H. E. Governor Obaseki has defected to our great Party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). The declaration was made this afternoon at the state Secretariat of our party in Benin city, Edo State. Power to the people.”
