Popular Lagos preacher and founder of Grace Nation Global Church, Dr. Chris Okafor, is bereaved following the death of his father, Pa Stephen Okafor.
Pa Stephen died on Thursday, August 27, 2026.
Dr. Okafor, popularly known among his church members as the “Generational Prophet,” announced the sad news on Sunday at the close of the special Thanksgiving Service for the Grace Nation Global Women of Wonders 2026 Convention in Lagos.
The clergyman informed the congregation of the loss and called on Grace Nation faithful around the world to remember his family in their prayers during this difficult period.
He said; “Please remember my family in your prayers. We have lost our patriarch, but we know God is with us.”
Pa Stephen Okafor was described by those who knew him as a loving father, a pillar of strength and support, and a devoted family man who raised a son whose ministry has touched millions of lives around the world through Grace Nation Global Church.
