When it comes to emergency response to disasters and unfortunate incidents in Lagos State, no other agency in the state has the speed, the quality and degree of work Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), can thus exhibit at the speed of light.
This is made possible by the upwardly mobile,energetic and unrelenting efforts of the General Manager of the agency, Dr. Femi Oke-Osanyintolu.
Dr. Osanyintolu a surgeon with a compassionate heart of gold, little wonder his former boss Mr. Babatunde Fashola referred to him as a “compassionate doctor” for his timely intervention and role at the scene of the unfortunate incident of the Lagos bomb blast in 2007, he said this at the grave side of the victims of the bomb blast during the remembrance and commemoration service held for the victims in Ejigbo
Dr. Femi started the agency as its pioneer General Manager and today still remain the agency’s point man whose great dexterity and unprecedented efforts has transformed LASEMA into a world class agency with the combined effort of his hardworking team and staffers.
As part of his continuing efforts in rendering optimum services to the people of the state the agency has also just acquired state of the art media and production equipments including drone and digital cameras.
The staffers are currently undergoing rigorous training organized by an international and seasoned media expert at the agency’s headquarters,since Osanyintolu does not cut corners nor believes in dealing with non professionals a standard he has maintained all his life.
“We have up to date and state of the art equipments and machines which can enable us deliver our services optimally within a tinkle of an eye. We are equipped to the teeth which enables us to be on top of every situation when the need arises,” Osanyintolu said.
