Stanbic IBTC Bank, a subsidiary of Stanbic IBTC Holdings, has unveiled an enhanced version of its Mobile App, optimised specifically for businesses. The updated App offers a range of new features designed to streamline and simplify digital banking for business owners.
The unveiling of the enhanced Super App for Business and the upgraded Enterprise Online 2.0 took place at Stanbic IBTC Towers, Walter Carrington, Victoria Island, Lagos on Thursday April 4th, 2024.
Delivering the opening remark, the Head, Clients Services, Stanbic IBTC Bank, Omolara O. Osunsoko said; “Given the nature of our business clients who are constantly on the move, this innovative solution would help them to be able to transact whilst they are on the move. The bank said it is excited to share the development with its esteemed customers as it anticipates customers’ feedbacks. The bank said one of the things it prides on is that Stanbic IBTC constantly innovates and aligns the innovations to the needs of the customers.
Immediately after the opening remark by Omolara, was a firefight chat anchored by financial analyst, Founder and CEO, Nairametrics, Ugodre Obi-Chukwu, he was joined by the Chief Executive, Stanbic IBTC Bank, Wole Adeniyi.
Speaking on the launch of the Super App for Business, Adeniyi said; “If there is one thing that we have as a power, it is our Super App. Now we are having in business version of it that is why it is called Super App for Business. I can proudly say this it is a multifunctional App and it is a one stop shop. There is no other financial institution in Nigeria that has this capability, I cannot think of any place in Africa that has this, I may even say elsewhere in the world. Why did I say that, you have an ecosystem right in your hand that is what our Super App delivers to you.”
Elaborating on the functionality of the Super App for Business, Adeniyi said; “On the Super App there is Insurance, on the SuperApp you have Pension, on this Super App you have Stockbroking, on this Super App you have asset Management, on this Super App you have your bank and on this Super App you have you Wallet. So whatever you banking needs are, on this Super App you have information.”

Also, on the security architecture of the Super App and the Enterprise online 2.0, the Stanbic IBTC Chief Executive said; “When you look at the encryption, data privacy, the security, we went through very vigorous brand of security protection and validation and certification in delivering the solution. Customers can be rest assured that any transaction whether it is on the Enterprise Online 2.0 or the Super App for business it is 100 percent secured.”
Shedding more light on the Super App, Adeniyi said; “You can open an account for third party from the Super App, and the process of opening an account from the Super App is to simply go to Play store or App store and download the App. The ease of doing business, ease of transaction and convenience and multiple choices and opportunities is what we deliver on the Super App for business.”
