It was glitz and glamour as dignitaries storm the maiden edition of the Etiquette Africa Conference and Award held on Thursday and Friday May 2nd, 3rd 2024 at the NAF Conference Centre, Abuja.
The award was put together by Etiquette Africa, and managed by Etienying Akpanusong, Founder and Executive Director of Etiquette Africa Initiative.
The theme of the landmark conference is “The Effect Of Incivility On Africa’s Development.” The event saw diverse group of stakeholders coming together to address the critical issue of incivility in Africa.
The glamorous award was well attended and thronged by dignitaries. Some of the renowned faces at the event include former governor of Akwa Ibom State, H. E Obong Victor Attah, former permanent Representative of Nigeria to The Unted Nations, Ambassador Usman Sarki, HRH King Alfred Dieti-Spiff, Mr. Femi Adesina, former aide to ex-President Muhammadu Buhari, amongst others.
The Honourable Minister of Women Affairs, Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye was also present as the guest of honour
Obong Victor Attah, who is the Grand patron, Etiquette Africa Conference acted as the Chief Host, while H. E. Ambassador Usman Sarki, gave the keynote address.
The grand event had two panel sessions. The first panel discussion was moderated by veteran journalist, Cyril Stober and the panelists include:
- Dr. Obiageli (Oby) Ezekwesili, former two time Minister in Nigeria and former Vice President of World Bank.
- Mrs Eugenia Abu; Veteran Broadcaster.
- Dr Linus Okorie MFR, CEO GOTNI, Leadership Centre
- Dr. James Komolafe; Behavioural Alignment Expert, and
- Director General of National Orientation Agency, Mallam Issa-Onil, represented by his SA, Mr. Anthony Eromosele.
The second panel session was moderated by
Ebaide Omiunu; a Legal Practitioner, and panelist include;
- Christie Eleojo Adejoh, FNIM – Management Consultant/Certified Trainer and Coach.
- Dr. Kabir Adamu – Managing Director of Beacon Security and Intelligence Limited.
- Taiwo Isijola – Diplomacy and Strategic Communication Professional
- Engr. Emeka Iloegbunam – Principal/CEO of Innovationeering Limited
- Daniel Black – National Coordinator, YALI/Farmer
The event ended with a colourful Dinner and Awards Ceremony which was held on Friday at the elegant Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja.
