A former Zamfara State Governor and All Progressive Congress (APC) Chieftain (name withheld) is allegedly bitter on how President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Bello Muhammad Matawalle of Zamfara State are using excessive force on bandits.
The former Governor made the complain in Kaduna State recently during a meeting he held with his supporters.
He said; “Bandits deserve no such treatment from the Federal Government and Zamfara State Government because they are human too, therefore, they, bandits should not be treated as such.”
In the same development, many online Media reported that, “A former banker from Zamfara with a former Zamfara State Governor are planning with their supporters to protest the ongoing military onslaughts against the dreaded bandits in the State, according to them ” the Military operations in the State is nothing but the violation of human right.”
Recall that last month, the Operation Hadaring Daji who are saddled with the responsibilities to bring a lasting solution in State arrested a man who was allegedly believed to be a bandits logistics supplier and was wearing Senator Marafa Campaign T-Shirt in Shinkafi.
It was reported that on his arrest he pleaded with the military to allow him speak to Senator Marafa.
However, Governor Matawalle has vowed to continue to support the security forces to neutralize bandits and their sponsors in the State.
