Gov. Matawalle Laments Over Kaya/Maradun Students Kidnap, Calls For Calm

Zamfara State Governor, Dr. Bello Muhammad Matawalle was all tears as he received another report of Kaya Students kidnapping under Maradun Local Government Area of the State, this evening at the Government House.

In the same development, the Governor has declared a new measure of curfew in the State so as to enable the security agencies to monitor closely suspicious movements in the State.

The State Security Council met and deliberated on the need for further measures and resolved to impose a curfew in all the 14 local government areas of the state from Wednesday, 1st September, 2021.

Curfew will be in Gusau Local Government from 8pm to 6am, while other Local Government Areas will be from 6pm to 6am.

As at the time of filling this reports, Governor Bello Muhammad Matawalle is currently in the State Government House situation room receiving updates from the Security Agencies who are on the trail of the criminals so as to rescue the victims and to avoid any collateral damage.

Recalled that last week, Security Agencies arrested Senator Kabiru Marafa, the 2019 Campaign Coordinator in Shinkafi Local Government Area of the State for allegedly supplying logistics for bandits.
