The Chief of Staff to Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State, Muhammad Abdullahi has made a shocking revelation.
According to Abdullahi; “73 per cent of women in Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State said that it is okay for a man to beat a woman.”
“The disturbing statistics are based on the current General Households Survey conducted by the state Bureau of Statistics, and currently being validated by relevant stakeholders.”
“The statistics call for great concern and Kaduna State Government will look into it.”
He made the revelation in Kaduna recently duriung the official launch of the 2021 State of the World Population Report by the United Nations Population Fund, in collaboration with the Planning and Budget Commission (PBC) held in the state.
