In a thrilling final at Rabat’s Stade Olympique, Nigeria’s women’s national team staged an incredible fightback to defeat hosts Morocco 3-2, reaffirming their dominance in African football.Dubbed “Mission X,” the Falcons’ victory was a showcase of resilience and determination. Trailing 2-0 at halftime, the Nigerian side launched an electrifying second-half performance.

Esther Okoronkwo sparked the comeback with a penalty before setting up Folashade Ijamilusi for the equaliser. The dramatic winner arrived in the 88th minute, as Jennifer Echegini fired home a free kick, sealing a memorable turnaround and igniting celebrations across Nigeria.
The team’s dominance was further underscored by individual accolades, with captain Rasheedat Ajibade being named the Player of the Tournament and goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie taking home the Golden Glove award for her outstanding performance.
