Once a household name in the Nigerian music industry, rapper 2Shotz, born William Orioha, has come forward with a confession, one that pulls back the curtain on a life derailed by scandal, silence and unimaginable pain.
In a deeply emotional outpouring, the artist revealed how a single moment turned into a storm that almost took his life.
He said; “I was accused of so many things that I’m not. People tore me apart. I wasn’t getting shows. No deals. I lost my house. I almost killed myself. I walked into water, ready to drown… and people had to pull me out.”
At the center of the storm was a woman many Nigerians would recognize, Beverly Osu, a model and actress who once appeared in one of 2Shotz’s music videos.
According to him, they shared a close relationship, and she had been a frequent guest in his home. But what started as friendship turned into tragedy.
2Shotz recounts; “Our relationship became strained. One day, during a heated argument, my hand brushed her face. It was accidental—but that single moment was twisted into something monstrous. She saw it as assault. And from there, my world fell apart.”
“The story spread like wildfire. People believed the worst of me. Brands cut me off. Family turned their backs. I was vilified by strangers who didn’t know the real story. I was labelled a violent man—something I’ve never been. I was destroyed by a lie.”
“That moment nearly ended me. I went into a dark place. It affected everything – my music, my relationships, my mental health. It’s still hard to talk about.”
“I stayed silent for too long. But I need people to understand what really happened. I’m not the monster they made me out to be.”
