Contrary to reports that went viral on the internet that he was detained at an airport in the United Kingdom, the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi has revealed to everyone that cares to know that he was not arrested.
Peter Obi made the revelation on Monday, May 1st, 2023 on Arise TV.
He said; “I was stopped for a routine immigration check in the UK because it appears that my identity was duplicated by someone.”
“I was never arrested. I was treated with due respect and walked through the VIP process. Everything lasted less than 20 minutes.”
It would be recall that Peter Obi was said to had been detained for hours at Heathrow Airport, London by UK immigration officials.
