IGP Monitoring Unit Boss Elevated To Commissioner Of Police

The Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Dr. Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun has decorated the Officer in Charge of the IGP Monitoring Unit, Akin Fakorede, with the new rank of Commissioner of Police.

The decoration ceremony, which took place at the Force Headquarters in Abuja, was attended by senior police officers, family members, and well-wishers, who gathered to celebrate the landmark achievement.

Until his elevation, Fakorede had served with distinction as a senior officer within the Nigeria Police Force, holding various strategic positions and earning a reputation for professionalism, discipline, and commitment to duty. His leadership of the IGP Monitoring Unit has been marked by a strong focus on operational efficiency, intelligence-led policing, and strict adherence to due process.
