Popular Nollywood actress, Rachael Okonkwo has fired back loud and unapologetic at her colleague, Zubby Michael over his remarks.
Zubby, in a viral video from a movie set, took a swipe at her success, suggesting it could intimidate potential suitors. “She already owns a house and a car, so what will the husband buy?” he quipped.
But Rachael wasn’t having any of it. Clapping back with confidence and clarity, she made it clear she’s not here for outdated narratives.
Responding to the jab, she said; “The goal is to be purposeful before partnership. I’m not looking for a poverty-alleviation relationship. I want to find myself and be with a man who has also found himself.”
“If being poor is the yardstick for finding a good husband, why didn’t I get married when I was hustling?”
