The rumour making the rounds on social media suggests that popular Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo, may be poised to work with President Bola Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 general election.

Speculation gathered momentum after the actress, widely known as a supporter of Peter Obi and a past critic of Tinubu, stated that she was willing to work with any political party committed to national development.
The narrative took a dramatic turn when the screen star shared a promotional video on her Instagram page praising the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN). She wrote: “FAAN is changing for the better in so many ways. I’m so proud of my country.”
Responding to critics who questioned her perceived political shift, Iyabo Ojo insisted her position was driven by patriotism rather than partisanship. She disclosed that FAAN had approached her to highlight visible improvements, stressing that she accepted without payment or contractual obligation.
“I’m Nigerian and I’m a voice,” she wrote. “When I see progress – airports upgraded, roads rebuilt, systems improved, I celebrate it, not because I’m being paid or political, but because I want good for my country. I will continue to use my craft and voice to promote Nigeria, and I am unapologetic about it.”
“FAAN approached me that you have seen the changes, please help us spread the word. So I did it for free. No contract, just love for Nigeria. If Nigeria must rise, we all must build it. Silence helps no one. I will work with any political party as long as it is building a better tomorrow for our nation. No agenda, just joined hands. Let’s stop dividing.”

Adding fuel to the speculation, the actress is also said to have held a private meeting with Seyi Tinubu in Lagos State some time ago.
