Former President Goodluck Jonathan has further sparked rumour of him joining the likes of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Rotimi Amaechi and others in the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2023 presidential race following his recent meeting with the party National Chairman, Adamu Abdullahi.

This is however, coming hours after a northern coalition group, Miyetti Allah reportedly purchased the N100 million APC presidential form for him.

According to our sources, Jonathan had a closed-door meeting with Adamu at about 9pm on Monday, May 9th, 2022 in Abuja.

Be that as it may, Jonathan’s spokesman, Ikechukwu Eze had in a statement, said; “We wish to categorically state that Dr. Goodluck Jonathan was not aware of this bid and did not authorise it.”

“We want to state that if the former President wanted to contest an election, he would make his intentions clear to the public and will not enter through the back door.”

“Jonathan has no link to the northern coalition that purchased the form.”

“Buying a presidential aspiration form in his name, without his consent, knowing the position he had held in the country, is considered an insult.”

“Jonathan has not in any way committed himself to run for president.”
