Famous ex-beauty queen and MD/CEO of Mgwn Green & White Nigeria Ltd., Amb. (Mrs.) Juliet Geoffrey Porbeni has congratulated former Minister of Finance, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala on her emergence as the first female and African Director-General of the World Trade Organisation (WTO).
Amb. Juliet who said ex-finance minister is her mentor has joined other Nigerians and the world in general to felicitate with her on her new achievement.
She said; “A big congratulations to Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala. The World expect the best from her, same in Africa and Nigeria. I thank her for always making African women proud.”
“God will continue to support her and His grace will be sufficient for her all throughout her tenure and beyond.”
Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala’s appointment came after the WTO had a special general council meeting on Monday, February 15th, 2021.
It is noteworthy that Ngozi has now become the first woman and also African to lead the Switzerland-based institution.
