The founder of Kaduna International Film Festival (KADIFF) and Vice Chairman Nigerian Film FestivalsAssociation, Audu Kashim Israel felicitates with Christian faithful around the world during this year’s Easter celebration.
“Easter is a Christian holiday that commemorates the resurrection of Jesus Christ, a pivotal event in Christianity signifying victory over death and the promise of eternal life. It’s a celebration of hope, renewal, and the ultimate victory of God’s love and power. Easter also reinforces the belief in the resurrection of the body and life everlasting, central tenets of the Christian faith. Easter marks the end of the 40 days Lenten season of fasting, prayers and alms giving which began on Ash Wednesday followed by the Easter Triduum”.
“As I reflect on this year’s Easter celebration I cannot but feel the pains of some Nigerian citizens in the Plateau, Benue, Kastina, Borno states among other regions faced by insecurity. Our people are dying daily like animals. May the resurrected Christ come through for our people. May the Government at all levels bring an end to this evil”.
“As we celebrate I urge the Christian faithful to carry on with the teachings learnt in these 40-day Lenten season, most especially the virtues of love, patience, kindness, tolerance, compassion and forgiveness. Let us remember those who don’t have anything to celebrate with this period, Sad reality – people are complaining daily about the high cost of living. Let us remember the poor, less-privileged, widows and orphans. To celebrities, public figures, and creatives let us continue to be role models to our society and the change we want”.
