Kwara North APC, PDP Members Decamp To SDP

The white horse of the Social Democratic Party, SDP galloped into Kosubosu, Baruten Local Government Area in the Kwara North Senatorial Senatorial District on Saturday and carried some members of the All Progressive Congress and People’s Democratic Party into its fold.

The decampees, comprising mostly women and youths from eleven wards in Baruten Local Government Area, explained that they were tired of the tactics and failures of the Governor Abdulrazaq’s led APC administration in the State.

They also pledged to work for the success and triumph of Alhaji Hakeem Oladimeji Lawal, the SDP gubernatorial candidate in forthcoming election in the State.

They anchored their support for Lawal on the fact that he is a young man with a great vision that is capable of moving Kwara forward from the present state of deceit and stagnancy.

They also prayed for the success of the party in the polls so that the the State can get to it’s promised land and that the glory of Kwara as a shining star in the North could be restored.

Alhaji Afolabi Azeez, the SDP chairman in the State who led the delegation to the area to receive the decampees urged them to remain steadfast and work for the success of all the party’s candidates in the 2023 elections.

Dr. Bolaji Afolabi, who represented the governorship candidate at the event also enjoined the new members to put their trust in the party which he described as the only viable alternative vehicle to take Kwarans to the land of abundant prosperity and freedom.

He added that the gubernatorial candidate is young, vibrant and full of energy to implement the party’s manifestoes without fear or favour.

Honourable Aliyu Lade, the party’s Patigi Local Government Elder who represented Honourable Attahiru Manko, the SDP Senatorial Candidate for Kwara North thanked the delegation for the visit and pledged the continued support of the people for the party before, during and after the election.
