Lady Swindles Husband-To-Be N10 Million

Nigerian lady, Mary Egodo, 30, has been arraigned before the Ejigbo Magistrate Court, Lagos State for allegedly swindling her fiancé, Ogunshakin Emmanuel of N10 million.

We gathered that her fiancé who is based abroad, sent her the money for her to buy a property in Lagos in preparation for their marriage only to come back to discover that his fiancee has swindled him and flee with another lover.

Sources disclosed that the Mary did not only defraud Emmanuel but also blocked every contact she has with him and relocated to an unknown place where he cannot locate her when he eventually returns to Nigeria.

Sources said Mary had relocated and was enjoying the money with another lover without buying any property and was not ready to get married to Emmanuel.

Fortunartely, the alleged scam was reported to the Police who in their effort trailed Mary and eventually arrested her where she was hiding and she was asked to refund the money but she said she had spent the whole money.

Those in the know said Emmanuel who hails from Ekiti State met Mary, an indigene of Delta State in Ibafo, Ogun State where she lives with her parents.

However, Mary pleaded not guilty to the charges leveled against her and was granted bail in the sum of N3million with two sureties in like sum. The case was adjourned till April 19, 2021.
