Former Chairman of defunct Pension Reformed Task Team (PRTT), Abdulrasheed Maina’s son, Faisal has fled to the United States of America (USA). This happened after he sneaked into the Niger Republic through Nigeria’s border in Borno State.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), disclosed this on Thursday, February 4th, 2021.

The EFCC’s lawyer, Mohammed Abubakar made the disclosure at the resumed hearing in his money laundering trial before Justice Okon Abang of the Federal High Court, Abuja.

It is interesting to know that Faisal after he was granted bail by the court went underground like his father, Maina.

However, his father was re-arrested in Niger Republic on December 1, 2020 but Faisal remained elusive until EFCC recently received intelligence report that he has fled to the United States where he is believed to be a citizen.

Meanwhile, in a ruling earlier, Justice Abang ordered that a House of Representatives member, Sani Dan-Galadima, representing Kaura-Namoda Federal Constituency of Zamfara who stood surety for the fleeing Faisal, should forfeit his property, worth N60 million, which he pledged as a guarantee for the N60m bail bond he signed.
