My Song Changed Nigerian Music Industry – Solidstar

Famous Nigerian singer, Joshua Iniyezo, popularly known as Solidstar, has revealed to everyone that cares to listem that his hit song ‘One In A Million’ changed the Nigerian music industry.

The singer also claimed that the ‘One In A Million’ song inspired P-Square’s hit song ‘Possibility’ featuring 2face Idibia.

Solidstar made the revelation in an interview recently.

He said; “It was ‘One In A Million’ that paved the way for me in the music industry. I won the Best New Artist at the Nigerian Music Video Awards with the song. Many even thought I was Ghanaian, they didn’t know I’m Nigerian because my style then was different.”

“It was my song ‘One In A Million’ that changed the sound of the Nigerian music industry. It was also the inspiration behind P-Square’s ‘Possibility’ featuring 2Baba.”

“The song changed the Nigerian music industry. It came with its unique style. I slowed the tempo down and everyone started copying that pattern.”

For those who don’t know, the singer was said to be seriously sick. His brother, Joseph Iniyezo, some months ago came out to beg for help.

In a video he shared via his Instagram page, he said; “Hello everyone my name is Joseph Iniyezo I am solidstar’s brother I want to use this medium to let his fans, his friends and colleagues in the industry know that solid star is really sick I know you may be wondering why he hasn’t been active it’s because he has been sick and battling a lot mentally I know he must offended some of his friends and colleagues but please it’s not his fault he has been really sick.”

“We thought we could be able to solve the issue internally and we tried our best but we need your help now… his friends his colleagues please we need your help if there is anytime in the world when he needs your help it is now. thank you all for listening hope hear from you guys… thank you’.”
