Famous singer, Azeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, no doubt is a very happy person at the moment and must be dancing to his hit song, ‘Tesumole’ as the Lagos State Government has withdrawn charges against him.
For those who don’t know, the rave of the moment was among the guests that attended the birthday party of Nollywood star actress, Funke Akindele’s husband, Abdul-Rasheed Bello, popularly known as JJC Skillz at their Ajah home in Lagos.
The singer was supposed to be arraigned on Wednesday at the Lagos State Magistrates’ Court in Ogba alongside Babatunde Gbadamosi, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for violating the lockdown order by the government.
However, his lawyer, Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa, (SAN) disclosed that the government has withdrawn the four counts charges filed against Naira Marley and two other accused persons.
He said; “The charges are withdrawn on the condition that the defendants would tender an apology to President Muhammadu Buhari and the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.”
It is interesting to know that, Funke Akindele a.k.a Jenifa and her hubby, JJC Skillz were on Monday sentenced after they pleaded guilty for hosting guests at the birthday bash which was against the restriction order by the government.
