The report reaching us right now has it that billionaire businessman, Obinna Iyiegbu, popularly known as Obi Cubana has been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for alleged money laundering and tax fraud.
Sources squealed to us that Obi Cubana arrived the headquarters of the EFCC at Jabi, Abuja on Monday afternoon, November 1st, 2021.
According to sources; “Obi Cubana was arrested and brought to the EFCC headquarters on Monday afternoon over allegations of money laundering and tax fraud. He is being grilled by detectives as we speak.”
It is interesting to know that, Obi Cubana made headlines after he hosted the ‘who is who’ in the society in the talk-of-the-town funeral for his mother in Oba, Anambra State in which over 200 cows were reportedly slaughtered.
For those who don’t know, Obi Cubana recently signed a partnership deal with Holders of the sole franchise for Laurent-Perrier Champagne in Nigeria, Ekulo International Limited.
