Oluwo Welcomes Children To His Palace For Children’s Day Celebration

The gate of the palatial palace of Oba Abdul Rasheed Adewale Akanbi “Telu 1″of Iwo kingdom in Osun state was wide open to children of Iwo town and environ who came in their hundreds to celebrate this year’s annual children’s day party with the paramount ruler.

The fun-filled packed occasion featured several children’s sports and games.

The event which is celebrated annually by the Kabiesi since he ascended the throne of his fore fathers as “Arole Olodumare, Alase lori Orisa” has brought unprecedented happiness to the children of the town.

The highlight of the event was the winners of the games going home with prizes which was given by the beautiful queen of the Oluwo.

“These children are the greatest future of this country,that’s why I always encouraged and give them a sense of belonging at all times. Apart from the food bank which I initiated to feed and assist the indigent families,I also run a scholarship scheme for the children and youths of the kingdom because I derive great joy in bringing smiles to the faces of my people” The Oluwo retorted.
