Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State is certainly not happy at the moment and has lamented over the choice he made by choosing Mr. Agboola Ajayi as his deputy governor.

For those who don’t know the relationship between the Ondo State governor and his deputy has been frosty as his Deputy has finally dumped him and the All Progressives Congress (APC) to join the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

However, Akeredolu while admitting that he made a wrong choice, lamented; “Despite the criticism and attack from various quarters that Ajayi is my cousin, I felt that I had made a choice but a wrong choice.”

“I was happy that Ajayi showed his true colours. His exit from the All Progressives Congress (APC) is a cleansing. The people of the local government should not be bothered about Ajayi. I urge delegates to vote for him.”

It is interesting to know that, earlier this month, reports has it that Agboola Ajayi had asked Akeredolu to hand over to him, after he tested positive to COVID-19.
