The Delta State Commissioner for Special Duties (Government House), Ifeanyi Michael Osuoza, has paid glowing tribute to former Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, as he marks his 67th birthday, describing him as an outstanding statesman, accomplished administrator and visionary leader whose legacy continues to inspire generations.
In a goodwill message released on Wednesday, Osuoza, on behalf of his family, joined the people of Delta State and other well-wishers across the country in celebrating the former governor for his remarkable contributions to the growth and development of the state and Nigeria.
He praised Okowa’s years in public service, noting that his tenure as governor was marked by visionary leadership, prudent management of resources, institutional development and people-centred policies that transformed Delta State.
According to the commissioner, Okowa’s exceptional administrative ability, sound political judgment and consensus-building skills remain benchmarks for effective governance, while his commitment to peace, unity and inclusive development continues to earn him widespread respect.
Osuoza further commended the former governor for mentoring and nurturing future leaders, describing his wisdom, humility and wealth of experience as invaluable assets to Delta State and the nation.
“As Governor of Delta State, you provided purposeful leadership anchored on strategic governance, institutional development and inclusive policies that have left an enduring impact on our state,” he said.
He prayed for God to bless the former governor with good health, renewed strength, divine protection and many more years of impactful service to humanity.
The commissioner concluded by wishing Okowa a joyful 67th birthday, celebrating him as “Ekwueme” and acknowledging his enduring legacy of selfless service and leadership.
