The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State, Senator Solomon Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, has made a shocking revelation.
According to Yayi, he had planned to appoint veteran Nollywood actor, the late Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, as his Special Adviser on Culture and Tourism if he emerged as governor.
The lawmaker made the revelation on Tuesday during a meeting with Ogogo’s family at their country home in Ilaro.
Yayi said: “I planned to make Ogogo my Special Adviser on Culture and Tourism. Not just as SA, but as a full cabinet member if I won the election and became the governor of Ogun State.
“That was my plan. I kept it to myself and I was working with it, believing that God would make it happen.”
For those who may not know, Senator Yayi was reportedly one of the major financiers of the late actor’s medical expenses during his battle with Stage 4 cancer.
