Information reaching us at the moment has it that some senators on Wednesday, July 27th, 2022 walked out on the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan after he allegedly refused the Minority Leader, Senator Philip Aduda to allow them impeach President Muhammadu Buhari.
We gathered that the Minority Leader and some other senators of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) walked out of the plenary.
We were told that some lawmakers are not comfortable with the worrying state of the security situation in the country and had therefore threatened to impeach the President.
Besides, we learnt that at the commencement of the Tuesday plenary, the lawmakers questioned the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan on why the issue of insecurity was not in the Order Paper.
