Shade Okoya, wife of Nigerian billionaire industrialist and founder of the Eleganza Group, Chief Razaq Okoya, has fired back at critics who have long questioned her decision to marry a much older man.

In a recent interview, Shade addressed the public perception that she may have missed out on certain life experiences by marrying an older partner. Firmly dismissing the notion, she expressed deep satisfaction with her life and marriage.
She said; “My husband has been very generous with me, and defends me anywhere. God said this is where I will be. We met each other, and he liked me and he did not waste time at all.”
“I’m happy in my marriage to him. He is far older than me but I don’t think I ever missed out on anything because I didn’t marry a younger man.”
For those who don’t know, Shade married Chief Razaq Okoya in 1999 when she was just 21 years old. Now 48, she remains happily married to the 85-year-old industrialist.
Their union has often been a topic of public discourse, but Shade’s recent remarks make it clear that she has no regrets.
