To many people there is nothing special going out to watch a particular artiste perform on a birthday considered to be a special day in ones life.
However, for Nigerian music star and Grammy award-winner, Burna Boy, real name, Damini Ogulu, his favourite birthday experience was when they took him out as a child to watch ace singer, Daddy Showkey perform at a kids’ park.
Burna Boy who turned 32 on July 2nd, made the revelation recently while he also spoke on his sixth studio album ‘Love, Damini’.
He said; “You got the ‘Love, Damini’ album, you see what’s in the record: I’m happy it is my birthday. I’m bringing you into that happiness.”
“My favourite birthday ever that I can remember in life, was when I got taken to a kids’ park as a child and I got to watch Daddy Showkey perform for the first time. So, I kind of wanted to recreate that in my album.”
