Famous Nigerian music rapper, Speed Darlington, apparently has landed himself in trouble for claiming that he had a sexual intercourse with a 15year old girl. Although the singer claimed the controversy was to promote his latest song.
For those who don’t know, Darlington, recently set the internet agog after a video of him claiming he had a sex with a minor surfaced on social media.
The video, however, had triggered outrage among social media users, who had condemned the artiste for his misconduct.
However, the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency (DSVA) had reacted to the controversial video. It said; “The Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency (DSVA) is aware of the disturbing video currently circulating online, in which a popular entertainer allegedly admits to engaging in unlawful sexual activity with a minor.”
“While the individual in question did not specify the location of the incident during the Instagram Live session, we must clarify that the DSVA’s jurisdiction is limited to Lagos State.
“In view of the above, and in line with our commitment to justice, we have escalated the situation to the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP). @naptipnigeria.”
Be that as it may, the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) has now weighed into the matter, and has promised to investigate the singer.
NAPTIP said; “The NAPTIP Cybercrime Response Team has commenced investigations into the disturbing Instagram live video and other videos made by the same individual. We at NAPTIP are committed to a world where children are safe and free from all forms of violence.”
