Following the Minister of State for Finance, Dr. Dori Uzoka- Anite’s successful hosting in Lagos last November of Southeast businessmen, captains of industry and entrepreneurs under the aegies of the novel Government-Private Sector Dialogue Series (GPS), the Anambra state government in collaboration with the Ministry will on January the 16th host an assemblage of Southeast manufacturers, traders, Agro-processors, exporters, MSMEs, logistics operators, entrepreneurs, business associations, investors and other business stakeholders in the region.

Tagged Government- Private Sector Dialogue (GPS) 2.O South-East Industrial And Trade Dialogue, the event will take place at Amphitheatre, Light House, Awka, the state capital.
Expected at the business gathering which has as a theme, “Enterprise, Industry and Capital Formation in the Southeast” are President Bola Tinubu and the five Southeast Governors.
Notedly, GPS 2.0 is an interactive engagement platform where business leaders meet directly with government officials to discuss policies, funding, incentives, and programmes that support business growth.
GPS aims to bring government closer to the people, educate businesses on available government initiatives across various parastatals, and receive direct feedback from industry leaders on how to improve the business environment.
Business expert say the GPS 2.0 becomes imperative as many businesses are unaware of existing government funding and intervention programmes, export and trade support schemes, MSME development initiatives, tax incentives and Industrial support programmes. The dialogue seeks to bridges that gap.
The organisationers hope to, through the gathering, drew business leaders’ attention in the Southeast to the enormous investment and economic opportunities there. “Government is coming to you.
This is your opportunity to engage, learn, access opportunities, and shape the future of business in the South East”, a GPS 2.0 stakeholder said.
According to business and financial analysts, participants at the GPS 2.0 dialogue will gain far reaching business incentives including direct access to government decision-makers, information on funding and support programmes, opportunity to ask questions and give feedback, platform to influence business policy and networking with top business leaders.
Meanwhile, GPS 2.0 will commence with courtesy visit to the Anambra Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo . This will be followed by engagement and interactive session.
Lady (Dr.) Adaora. O Chukwudozie, Chairman Manufacturers Association of Nigeria, MAN, South East Zone and Chairman keystone bank Plc is one of technocrats and business Executives from the Southeast heavily involved in harnessing the GPS platform to highlight business opportunities in the region as well as factors militating against business growth and business owners there.
Speaking in Lagos at the GPS Dialogue series for the Southeast last November, Dr. Chukwudozie said: “The GPS and reception afforded Southeast businessmen in Lagos the opportunity to celebrate their daughter and sister, fellowship with her in her moment of national assignment and rob minds with her on issues bordering on Southeast businesses and economic growth”
The Keystone Chairman who had coordinated the event however urged the federal government to remove all bottlenecks that hamper manufacturing and economic growth of the Southeast.
