The maiden edition of Stitch to Fame Nigeria, a nationwide fashion and tailoring competition, has officially concluded in grand style on November 1, 2025, marking the end of months filled with creativity, passion, and exceptional displays of skill from young Nigerian tailors and fashion designers.
After a highly competitive and inspiring journey, Ogungbe Lateefat Oluwafunmilayo emerged as the winner of Stitch to Fame Nigeria Season 1. Her work stood out for its originality, finesse, and artistic excellence — qualities that truly embody the spirit of the competition. The organizers described her as a beacon of creativity and professionalism who represents the bright future of Nigeria’s fashion industry.
The competition also celebrated several other outstanding participants who excelled in different categories, highlighting the diversity, innovation, and boundless potential that define Nigeria’s creative youth.
According to the organizers, Stitch to Fame Nigeria is not just a contest but a transformative platform designed to empower, motivate, and support young Nigerians in the creative and fashion industries. Speaking on the success of the event, Deji Bakare, Convener of the competition and former Mr. Nigeria, expressed his gratitude to everyone who contributed to making the first edition a success.

With the remarkable success of its debut season, the organizers announced that Season 2 will return next year, officially making Stitch to Fame Nigeria an annual national event.
