Nigerian music star, Davido has responded strongly to Hausa singer, Dauda Kahutu, popularly known as Rarara, over comments he made about his performance at the 2026 FIFA World Cup countdown concert, where the singer displayed the names of abducted schoolchildren and teachers from Oyo State.
In an open letter written in Hausa, Davido said Rarara was wrong to bring personal and family matters into politics. He stated that most Nigerians knew nothing about Rarara’s family issues until he made them public himself.
Davido also accused him of attacking him for political reasons and advised him to keep his personal problems separate from political discussions.
He said; “Useless man, Dauda Kahutu Rarara, first of all, nobody in Nigeria will start discussing your personal issues or family matters unless you bring them out yourself. Nobody even knew anything about your wife wife until you made it public.
“You started the insults because of politics, and you did so because of the interests of certain people you were praising.”
“If you have a problem with your wife, leave politics out of it and stop dragging it into political matters. May Allah reveal everything you are trying to hide.”
