That Afrobeat legend, late Fela Anikulapo Kuti’s son, Seun, has finally been released from police detention is an established fact.
The singer was granted bail on Tuesday, May 23rd, 2023 after he was detained at the State Criminal, Investigations and Intelligence Department, SCIID, Yaba, Lagos for over a week.
His detention came on the orders of a Yaba Chief Magistrate Court for slapping a police officer.
However, following his release on Tuesday, the singer took to his Instagram page and wrote;
“I want to say a profound thanks to everyone who showed me all this love. All my friends that showed up! Thanks most especially to my beautiful wife @chefyeidekuti”.
“Last but not the least, the legal team, Uncle Femi Falana (SAN), Uncle Olumide Fisika (SAN), Uncle Kayode Adegoke (SAN), Barrister Ogunlana, Ade Ademiluyi, @mantis_afrikaanus. And everyone on the team, I owe you my freedom and my sanity. Let’s go!!”
