What Yomi Fabiyi Said About Baba Ijesha’s Release

That Nollywood Yoruba actor, Olarenwaju James, popularly known as Baba Ijesha has been granted bail by the Lagos State Police Command is an established fact.

However, his colleague, Yomi Fabiyi who has been agitating for his release as far as staging a protest for Baba Ijesha to regain his freedom, took to his social media platforms to emphasize on the importance of Human Right.

He wrote via his Twitter page; “The government and persons that respects Human Rights are who you should support & identify, surebet for PEACE.”

“A society that understand IT IS NOT JUSTICE when Human rights of either accused, complainant, prosecutor etc are violated. Be Raised & raise someone to STAND BY WHAT IS RIGHT.”

He equally took to his Instagram page to share his tweet with the caption; “Human Rights is key to Peace and Development.”

Recall that Baba Ijesha was arrested and detained by the police for weeks for allegedly raping a 14-year-old girl since she was 7years.

However, he was released on bail by the police on Monday, May 17th, 2021.

His lawyer, Ogunlana said; “Baba Ijesha has been granted bail about one hour ago. We are working to perfect the bail. He was granted bail on health grounds.”

“He hasn’t been released. He will be released after his bail conditions have been met.”

“Baba Ijesha was granted administrative bail by the police in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties.”

“The terms of the bail include two reliable sureties- a blood relation and a level 10 civil servant.”
