Many people may not know that popular Nollywood actor, Deyemi Okanlawon has quit acting and returned to a regular office job.
According to the actor, he quit acting in 2019 because the pay was too low and he was no longer satisfied with the kind of work he was doing.
Speaking in a recent interview, Deyemi explained: “So, I quit acting in 2019. I quit because the pay was nonsense, the work was nonsense. And I just felt like I didn’t leave 9-to-5 work to come and do mediocre work.“
“It was difficult to wake up in the morning and go to work. I kept asking myself, what is the point of being passionate about something if it doesn’t make you feel fulfilled? So I quit and went back to a 9-to-5 job.”
