Nigeria’s former Head of State, Gen. Yakubu Gowon (retd.) has denied the rumour spreading like wild harmattan fire on social media platforms that he has kicked the bucket.
Gowon was rumoured to have died on Monday, October 9th, 2023.
Be that as it may, his Personal Media Aide, Adeyeye E. Ajayi in a terse statement on Monday night, disclosed that the ex-military leader is still alive.
According to Adeyeye; “Gowon said ‘I am still around and well. I am not in a hurry’.”
