A heart-wrenching report has recently reached us in the story of a young family in our community, who are battling it out with some members of their extended family on the issue of child circumcision.
Our investigative reporter, Mr. Osas AGHEDO, who has been covering this family tension, gives an unfortunate insight into the young family of one Mr. Bright AIYEDUN and his pregnant wife, both residents of Ekpoma in Edo State (full address withheld for security reasons) who were recently assaulted by a gang of people, who were acting under the orders of Chief OGBE.
The aggressor has been identified as Mr. Ayobai AIYEDUN, the paternal uncle of Mr. Bright AIYEDUN. Who directed a group of local thugs to torment this young couple into giving in to the circumcision of their daughter upon birth.
Police investigations are presently going-on and we shall keep you posted on future developments.
