Zamfara Government Donates N15 Million To Families Of Police Officers Killed At Kurar Mota

The government of Zamfara State has donated N15 million to the families of the police officers killed in an ambush by bandits last week at Kurar Mota in Bungudu Local Government Area of the state.

The deceased families is to receive N1 million each while the families of those who suffered injuries during the incident are to be given N2 million. Already, the government has taken care of their medical bills.

However, the State Governor, Dr. Bello Muhammad Matawalle disclosed that the guesture was part of his government’s promise to assist families of those gallant security personnel who lost their lives in the cause of protecting the lives of other citizens of the state.

Since his assumption in office, Gov. Matawalle has been having cordial working relationship with the security agencies and his government has been supporting the agencies in discharging their duties.

It would be recalled that Governor Matawalle visited the wounded police officers at the hospital to sympathise with them over the unfortunate incident.

Meanwhile, the Government has commiserated with the Inspector-General of Police, Lagos State Commissioner of Police and the Squadron Commander 20 Pmf Lagos and prayed for the repose of the souls of the fallen heroes.
