Honourable Tajudeen Abbas has become the Speaker of the House of Representatives.
The lawmaker, representing Zaria Federal Constituency was elected by members of the House on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at the inauguration of the 10th National Assembly.
Abass defeated fellow contenders; Ahmed Wase and Sani Jaji, who polled three votes each.
However, Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu was nominated as the Deputy Speaker of the House by members of the House of Representatives.
Hon. Kalu is a member of the National House of Assembly, representing Bende Constituency, Abia State.
